About the CTET Exam
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It serves as the mandatory benchmark for aspiring teachers who wish to work in Central Government schools, including Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS), and other CBSE-affiliated institutions (which are best institutions for teachers at all).
The upcoming 21st edition (CTET February 2026 Exam) is scheduled on February 8, 2026. The exam consists of two objective-type papers:
- Paper I: For candidates intending to teach Classes 1 to 5 [BSTC / BTC / DElEd / JBT / Two year diploma in elementary education (whichever the name is)].
- Paper II: For candidates intending to teach Classes 6 to 8 [Degree in Education or Two year diploma in elementary education (whichever the name is) with graduation degree].
